Founded under the Mattei Plan, IASA's mission is to bridge the gap between traditional agriculture and modern technologies for the benefit of the African continent.
The Mattei Plan for Africa, promoted by the Italian Government, identifies the agri-food sector as one of the strategic areas for sustainable development of the African continent. IASA was founded with a precise mission: to train researchers and professionals capable of transferring knowledge and innovations between Italy and Africa.
