IASA (Institute of Advanced Science for Agriculture) is Italy’s first non-state higher education institution with special status, established by the Ministry of Universities and Research and supported by BF S.p.A. for doctoral training and applied research in the agri-food sector.
IASA was established to achieve the objectives of the Mattei Plan for the development of the African continent in the field of higher education and to bridge the gap between traditional agriculture and modern technologies.

IASA’s academic offerings are organized into doctoral programs, undergraduate programs, and first- and second-levelmaster’s programs. Our scientific and educational programs integrate agribusiness and agritech to train professionals capable of leading the technological transformation of agriculture, with a strategic and targeted focus on the challenges and opportunities of the African continent.
