Board of Directors

Governing Bodies

The Board of Directors holds the powers set out in the Statute for the governance of the institution, with a view to ensuring and safeguarding the pursuit of its institutional aims. The Board of Directors is composed of five members and serves a three-year term:

  • the Rector, appointed by the Board of Directors of BF S.p.A.;
  • the Deputy Rector, appointed by the Rector;
  • three representatives appointed by the Board of Directors of BF S.p.A., chosen from Italian or foreign individuals with proven managerialexpertise or high-level professional experience, with due attention to scientific and cultural standing.

The Board of Directors elects from among its members the Chairman of the Board of Directors, who chairs and convenes the body, except on the occasion of its first appointment and constitution, when the Chair coincides with the Rector. The Director General attends meetings of the Board of Directors without voting rights, acts as recording secretary, and oversees the implementation of resolutions falling within their remit.
